Are there any eligibility criteria for getting a Dubai visa?

Ski Dubai Snow Run DXB To Kick Off On June 11th

Ski Dubai has confirmed the third edition of the DXB Snow Run, which will take place on June 11th in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council. Participants will tackle the slopes of Ski Dubai at -4⁰C. as part of this one-of-a-kind running experience available to everyone between the ages of 18 - 62.

The DXB Snow Run will begin at 6:30 a.m. and participants can pick between two distances: 3 km (3 laps) or 5 km (5 laps).

A remembrance medallion will be given to each participant who crosses the finish line. The registration period is currently open (through June 3rd), and registrants can reserve their place on PremierOnline.

UAE Resident Visa: Sponsor Your Children Up to Age 25

With no age limit for unmarried daughters. Previously, the age limit for sponsoring children was 18 years the UAE with resident visa.

This comes as the UAE Cabinet announced a slew of visa reforms under a new residency scheme. The initiatives - ranging from a five-year Green Visa to the introduction of new categories under the 10-year Golden Visa, among others - offer several benefits to facilitate the residency of family members in the country.

UAE residents can now sponsor children up to the age of 25 years, with no age limit for unmarried daughters. Previously, the age limit for sponsoring children was 18 years.

Under new residence types introduced by the Emirates on Monday, residents can now also avail of longer flexible grace periods that allow them to stay in the country for up to six months after the cancellation or expiry of their residence permit. However, it is not immediately clear whether this applies to all visa types.

Benefits of new visa reforms to the UAE visitors

The new system also offers UAE visitors a variety of visa types for different visit purposes. For the first time, new types of visas have been introduced that do not require a host or sponsor.

Major improvements include facilitating the entry requirements for all visa types, offering flexible visa durations that meet the needs of the visitors and the purpose of the visit.

In addition, all entry visas are available for single or multiple entry and can be renewed for similar period(s). They will be valid for 60 days from their issuance date.

Benefits of the new Resident Visa for the families in the UAE

Under the new system, residents can easily issue residence permits for family members, including spouse and children.

Children of determination are granted a residence permit, regardless of their age.

Green Residence visa holders are allowed to issue residence permits for their first-degree relatives.

In all cases, the residency of family members shall be the validity duration as the original residence holder.

Meanwhile, the amendments also allow Golden Residence holders to sponsor family members, including spouse and children, regardless of their age.

Furthermore, they can sponsor support services (domestic workers) without limiting their number.

There is also no restriction related to the maximum duration of stay outside the UAE in order to keep the Golden Residence valid.

Kuwait visit visa new rules 2022

There are no specific rules for Kuwaiti residents returning to Kuwait, as of now. Kuwait has relaxed most of the COVID-19 related entry restrictions from 1 May 2022 and has lifted the quarantine, testing and vaccination requirements for arrivals.

The country is also permitting the entry of non-Kuwaiti passengers who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 as of February.

Kuwait visit visa types and fees

Tourist visa

The Kuwait Tourist Visa or the e-Visa is an online electronic visa available for travellers of a number of nationalities, including citizens from the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and all EU countries, who plan to visit the Gulf state as tourists. The Kuwait Tourist visa or eVisa allows the holder a single entry to the Gulf state and enables them to stay for a period of 90 days.

As the Kuwait tourist visa is issued to accommodate travellers visiting Kuwait for leisure purposes, travellers must not engage in employment or business activities during their stay and must not overstay their welcome.

Business visa

In case a traveller wants to visit Kuwait for business purposes, they can apply for a Business Visit Visa in Kuwait. In such cases, the hotel in which the travellers has planned to stay can sponsor their visa.

Some additional requirements include:

A Kuwaiti sponsor or company is required to apply for the Business visa

Kuwait visit visa application and security form filled out by the sponsor

A copy of the visitor’s passport

A copy of the sponsor’s signature as registered for business purposes

A copy of the sponsor’s letter of invitation to the business, stating the purpose of the visit.

Family visit visa

This type of visa has no eligibility criteria. As long as the traveller has proof of relationship, they can visit the Gulf state with their Kuwait Visit Visa.

The multiple entry visa is most useful for travellers who have to visit Kuwait, regularly, for business purposes However, such travellers are required to have a sponsor in the Ministry of Defence to avail of this visa.

American nationals are eligible to visit Kuwait with a Multiple Entry Visa with a validity of 10 years with an unlimited number of entries.

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have officially announced uae-national-day-holiday, Commemoration Day holidays for public sector;

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources tweeted on Wednesday 24/11/2021 that federal employees would enjoy three days off from Wednesday, December 1, to Friday, December 3.

Since Saturday, December 4, is a weekend, federal employees would have a four-day break. They will resume work from Sunday, December 5.

As the country will be celebrating its 50th birthday this year. Even though it’s a long weekend, residents would do well to spend it in the UAE as the country is going all out to celebrate its Golden Jubilee.

Authorities in Dubai have started issuing 5years multiple-entry visas for employees of multinational companies.

According to the Dubai Tourism website, the dubai 5years multiple entry visa is applicable for “business and leisure travel”.

The programme helps firms bring their “global business personnel to Dubai”.

“This will allow them to conveniently access and work from their Dubai offices, or attend to regional business, if you are in the process of establishing your presence here,” the website said.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) – Dubai said it has “now fully activated” the visa process. It allows employees of multinational companies to visit and stay in the UAE for 90 days, with the option of extending it for another 90 days.

Interested companies need to fill a form. Once the form is submitted online and verified within “1 to 3 working days”, the company will receive a confirmation email “with steps to submit your individual visa applications as required”.

Senior Manager – Guest Relations at Global Village, said: “As part of this season’s infrastructure upgrades, we have introduced more seating areas, adjusted some of the paths to improve guest movement, improved our main stage experience and much more.”

1. The bridge that connects India and Africa pavilions will have a new theme this season. Inspired by Budapest's famous 'Margaret Bridge', it will have a unique coffee shop overlooking the lake.

2. A new and “iconic Instagram-able” structure near the Arabian Square will be unveiled when season 26 kicks off. This structure will be placed on a pedestrian roundabout.

3. Walkways have been modified to avoid crowding on busier days. This will help ensure smooth flow of visitors between popular outlets and pavilions.

4. The avenue leading to Carnaval will also be home to a new fountain feature.

5. Fiesta Street will introduce more street food kiosks this season.

6. Street entertainment is back.

7. Dotto trains will bring guests to and from the parking zones.

8. A new corridor now connects Happiness Street with the newly named Fireworks Avenue.

9. The seating area around the main stage has been expanded to accommodate more people.

10. Audio-visual quality has been enhanced for performances on the main stage.
