Dubai Visit : If you want to visit Dubai, this post is for you! Traveling to and visiting Dubai is now easier than ever. In this post, I'll show why I say so. I'll cover everything you need to know about the Visit Visa for Dubai, also known as the Dubai visit Visa, including the different ways you can apply, the required documents for the Dubai visit visa, processing time, and costs of the visa.

A Dubai Tourist Visa (Dubai Visit Visa) is for foreign nationals who are not eligible for a visa on arrival for Dubai or visa-free entry to the United Arab Emirates. Females below 18 are not eligible to apply for this type of Visa unless they travel with their parents.

According to a Cabinet resolution passed in July 2018, children under 18 years accompanying adults can get a free visa to Dubai visit from 15 July to 15 September each year. A Dubai Tourist Visa is a short-term visa, which means that the Visa is only valid for a short period. If you stay longer than the date of issue (your visa's expiry date), you will get a fine.

I recommend contacting your nearest UAE Embassy if you're unsure about the Dubai visit Visa. There are several different types of Dubai visas that you can utilise. Each different type of Dubai visit visa can be applied for a specific purpose of visit or duration of stay. Some of the different visiting visas to Dubai for a stay are:

48-Hours Dubai visit Visa:

Travellers with a 48 hours stopover or layover in Dubai can apply for this visiting visa to Dubai.

96-Hours Dubai visit Visa:

Travelers with a 96 hours stopover or layover in Dubai can apply for this visiting visa to Dubai.

14-Day Single Entry Dubai visit Visa:

Travellers that wish to visit Dubai for a short trip can use this visa and you can stay in the country for a maximum of 14 days.

Short-Term Single Entry Dubai visit Visa:

This tourist visa allows the holder to enter and exit Dubai once and stay for the duration of the visa's validity period, which is 30 days.

Short-Term Multiple Entry Dubai visit Visa:

This tourist visa allows the holder to enter and exit Dubai multiple times during the validity of the visa, which is 30 days.

Long-Term Multiple Entry Dubai visit Visa:

This tourist visa allows the holder to enter and exit Dubai multiple times during the validity of the visa, which is 90 days.

With a single entry visa, you can only enter and exit the country once, whereas a multiple entry visa allows you to enter and exit the country more than once. These different types of visas have certain eligibility requirements. Be sure to check them before you apply.

The Dubai Visa (Dubai Visit Visa) requirements for US citizens are as follows:

American citizens who are valid passport holders don't need a visa to visit Dubai. However, please make sure you have the following:

Your original passport: should not expire within 6 months from the expected arrival time in the UAE.

Confirmed round-trip flight ticket or a flight ticket to another destination.

The visas are available upon arrival at the UAE airports (Visa On Arrival), and you can stay for 1 month in the UAE. However, if you will stay longer, you have to contact the immigration officer at the airport or the local immigration office in the UAE.

Who Can Apply for a Schengen Visa Dubai in UAE?

On the other hand, all those living in any of the seven emirates of the UAE, who do not hold a UAE passport, and do not belong to any of the Schengen visa-exempt categories, will need to obtain a visa. To determine whether you need a visa, please check the list of nationals who are required to have a Schengen Visa.

Persons who can apply to get a Schengen Visa in UAE should belong to one of the categories below:

  • UAE passport holders that have been refused visa-free entry to the Schengen area previously

  • Foreigners living in UAE on a permanent or temporary residence permit, who:

  • are nationals of a country that has an agreement on a visa-free regime with Schengen, but have been refused visa-free entry to Europe

  • are nationals of any of the countries that do not have a visa-free regime with the Schengen countries

How to Apply for a Schengen Visa in UAE?

There are a few simple steps to follow when applying for a short-stay Schengen visa in the United Arab Emirates:

  • Check at which Embassy/Consulate you need to apply. In order to file your application at the right place, you will need to know which country should issue you a visa (if you are planning to visit more than one Schengen state). Then you need to check, what body of that particular country handles visa applications or whether it has outsourced visa submission to another party.

  • Schedule an appointment at the embassy/consulate/visa centre.

  • Attend the visa interview. Take all of the required documents with you, listed in the given order.

  • Wait for a response. In the meantime, the embassy will process your visa, which will go through EU security systems as Visa Information System and Schengen Information System.

The processing of your application may take up to 15 days. After that period, you will receive a response to your case. All applications are processed by the embassies only.

Where to Apply for a Schengen Visa in UAE

A Schengen visa allows its holder to visit 26 European countries. However, when it comes to where one should apply, the Schengen countries have very strict and clear rules. Many applicants fail to understand where they should apply, and, in the absence of information, they apply at the wrong embassy/consulate.

Before you decide at which EU embassy/consulate in Dubai or Abu Dhabi to submit your visa application for Europe, read the rules on “How to Choose the Right Embassy/Consulate/VAC to File a Schengen Visa Application“!

Please pay attention to these rules since it is very important to file your application at the right place. Lodging your application at the wrong authority, will result in the rejection of your Schengen Visa application.

In general, most of the Schengen states have their embassy located in Abu Dhabi and at least a consulate general in Dubai. In some cases, the embassy and the consulate(s) of the respective member state accept visa applications. In other cases, visa submission is outsourced to the embassy/consulate of another country or to companies that offer visa services.

Oman Visa

Nationals of Gulf Cooperation Council countries may travel to Oman visa-free. And because of agreements in place between Oman and this bloc of nation-states, the national government has created an online Oman visa entry for GCC residents, which offers residency holders cheaper entry into the country.

It is possible to apply for an Oman eVisa for GCC residents in a single day, which grants easy and quick entry into the country by streamlining the process of passing through immigration.

Applicants need only fill out a quick online form, submit supporting documents and pay a small fee in order to move through a port of entry into the country successfully. If applying for a Oman visit visa for GCC residents, a few differences must be taken into account, which this following article will explain.

What a Oman Visa for GCC Residents Permits

This GCC resident visa for Oman is quite similar to the conventional Oman online visa, although due to diplomatic ties between Oman and GCC countries is available for a lower price than the regular visa for tourists.

In order to enter the country with an Oman online visa for GCC residents you will be bound by the following eVisa guidelines:

  • This visa grants a 28-day stay in Oman

  • You will be permitted a single entry into the country (if you wish to obtain a multiple entry visa for Oman you will need to apply for a different form of visa)

  • The GCC Visa is permitted for direct entry from a GCC country (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE)

  • It can be extended once only

Please bear in mind that entry into the country under this visa is at the full discretion of the Royal Oman Police. Additionally, this type of entry document may not be changed to a work visa once inside Oman. Visitors seeking to conduct business in the nation should apply for a full business visa before entering.

Oman eVisa Requirements for GCC residents

The Oman Visa for GCC residents has quite similar necessities when compared with the Oman visa online requirements. In order to be successfully approved for an eVisa for GCC countries applicants will need to:

  • Not be a holder of another type of Oman visa

  • Hold a passport with over 6-month validity

  • Apply for the eVisa while outside of Oman

  • Possess a valid hotel booking within Oman (required when entering Oman)

  • Own a return ticket to their country of arrival or an onward destination (required when entering Oman)

Applicants for the Oman visa for GCC residents are also required to have a profession approved by the Omani government. They must choose their profession from an extensive list of approved jobs when completing the online form.

Documents Necessary for Free Visa Entry for GCC Residents

To have an Oman Visa approved, applicants will be required to submit a number of supporting identity and travel documents.

This will help the Royal Oman police to identify the applicant correctly and ensure that they fit the appropriate eligibility requirements listed in the previous sections.

These documents include:

  • A digital photograph of the person applying

  • A scan of the applicant’s passport

  • A copy of the applicant’s GCC Visa (with at least 3 months validity remaining)

  • A copy of a GCC resident card with over 6 months validity remaining

In the event that these rules are followed correctly, tourists and other visitors entering Oman with a GCC resident eVisa can enjoy simpler and cheaper authorization to travel. If you’re seeking to obtain an online Oman tourist visa for GCC residents this can be easily acquired in a few clicks. Simply follow the online instructions and within just one day, applicants will be fully approved to enter the state of Oman.

Can GCC Residents Get a Visa on Arrival for Oman?

No, a visa on arrival for Oman for GCC residents is no longer available.

Visa on arrival facilities were previously available in Oman. However they were phased out with the introduction of the Oman Visa for GCC residents.

The authorities of Oman stated that all those that need an Oman GCC resident visa should use the online application method to obtain it before arriving in the country. Otherwise, they may be denied entry at the border.

How to Get a GCC Residence Permit

In order to meet the Oman visa requirements for GCC residents, it is of course necessary to have a GCC resident card. This is a permit granted to expatriates living in one of the Gulf Cooperation countries who meet certain criteria.

The most common way to apply for a GCC residence permit is with employer sponsorship through a company based in a GCC country.

Many companies based in the GCC who have foreign employees are familiar with this process. They often arrange the paperwork on their employees’ behalf.

Another option is to apply for a GCC residency permit through family sponsorship. This is available to family members who already have a relative with GCC residency gained through employer sponsorship.

The most common documents required for a GCC resident permit are:

  • Original passport

  • Completed residency application form

  • Medical examination certificate

  • Letter from the GCC employer

Nevertheless, each GCC country has varying requirements for their residency permits. Therefore you should check the specifics with an embassy or consulate of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or the United Arab Emirates before you apply for your GCC permit for that country.

Who is a tourist visa for?

According to a Cabinet resolution passed in July 2018, children under the age of 18 years who are accompanying adults, can get a free visa for their visit from 15 July to 15 September each year.

Multiple entry tourist-visa for all nationalities

A new multiple entry tourist visa can now be issued for all nationalities, in a step that aims to facilitate the process for tourists and visitors. The five-year visa enables tourists to enter multiple times on self-sponsorship and remain in the country for 90 days on each visit, which can be extended for another 90 days.

For more information about the multiple entry tourist visa, please contact with Gatewayz.

What is the validity of a tourist-visa?

Depending on your plan, tourist visas to the UAE can be issued for 30 days or 90 days duration, single entry or multiple entry. Recently, the UAE facilitated a five-year visa which enables tourists to enter multiple times on self-sponsorship and remain in the country for 90 days on each visit, which can be extended for another 90 days.

Who can apply for your tourist-visa?

Tourist visas through agencie

Licensed travel agents in the UAE can arrange a tourist visa for you provided you purchase the ticket through them and maintain hotel reservation with the specific hotel.

It is important to check the authenticity of travel agents you are dealing with and refrain from paying or sending copies of your official documents until after you are 100 per cent sure the tour operator is genuine. You can seek the help of the Gatewayz Tourism.

Visitors and tourists can apply for the second renewal before the expiry of the first one against AED 600 each time of renewal.

Visa overstayers who do not renew, as above, will have to pay AED 100 fine for each day of their overstay, to be calculated from 10 days after the visa expiry.

However, the new rule for extension does not apply on the following categories:

  • visitors and tourists who are residents in GCC countries
